A mother's duty, is to build character
& teach her child to fly on their own.
Into the real world,
So that that child- may find it's own home.
However, now and days
It's become a burden to some mothers-
to understand "teens will be teens".
But instead they want to get...
More or less, mean.
The pain they cause,
They may not realize...
but in MY body,
a broken heart resides.
She is my queen
& this she KNOWS...
but this anguish & pain,
oh boy, how it grows.
The tears don't change anything...
I can't even rhyme anymore.
I'm so ashamed.
Of the things you do,
& most of all whatchu say...
I'm so tired of apologizing to my friends
and most of all YOU,
for the normal things a teen wants to do.
Depressed for a year, thoughts in my head,
The pain that I've dread has come back again
To win me over, and my strength went with you
to hampton this weekend...
So if you come back, to a child missing.
Just be kissing me goodbye....
Damn, at least I tried. );
